Who We Are
Since 1989 superior customer service has made us the longest standing inboard dealer in the Northwest. Bake's service department is the exclusive Axis, Malibu, Supra, Moomba, Indmar, and PCM certified service specialist for Washington State. Every service team member is required to annually attend school to keep their skills up to date with the advancing technology changes. Over a century of experience between us is why we can serve you better and more efficiently than anyone else.
We have the latest computer diagnostics and special tools for all inboard brands.
Our team of professionals is the best in the country as evidenced by the fact that we help other dealerships to solve complicated service issues.
We carry the largest inventory of specialty inboard parts in the world.
Our online store ships to customers and dealers in North America, South America, Central America, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and Australia. We are proud of the work we have done and strive to continue improving for all of our customers who have turned into friends over the years. At Bake's, we set ourselves apart from the "normal" dealer by our employees and our mission statement objectives. Our mission was written in 1989 and is still valid today.
Bakes History
2015
Paul Gregoire started work in the Service Department in 2002. He worked his way up to President in 2012 then became a partner in 2015. It is safe to say that Paul has become the "face" of BAKES. While there may be many places to have your boat serviced or accessorized, you simply won't find a service center with more inboard boat specific knowledge. We have sold boats, worked on them, and played behind them continuously since 1989. You can be confident that you will get the best value and care for your family and boat at Bakes Marine. What started as a business with an odd nickname and a passion has grown into a company satisfying customers around the globe.
2005
As the convenience of shopping online came about, BakesOnline.com was the logical "next step" for Bakes. The Parts department and Board & Ski Shop have grown considerably even allowing Bakes customers the convenience to shop from home. The online store also allowed boaters from all over the world to experience and do business with Bakes.
1989
January 23rd 1989 Bake's Malibu Boats was officially established by Bill Baker (Bake). Only seven Malibu Boats were sold the first year of business when the average selling price was $13,000! As a "one man show" there was limited service and all the boat preps had to be done before opening. There was no Pro Shop or parts department until one boat customer wanted to have a heater installed. Two heaters were purchased and became the first accessories sold and installed at Bakes. As demand grew for Malibu Boats, so did the desire for a wider range of products, services and accessories. As a result, Bakes added more parts, vests, and other water related merchandise. A more official Pro Shop quickly took shape and a formal service department established within the company.
