The Malibu SMART Fuel Filter System features innovative, patented technology that integrates the water sensor inside the filter housing for improved reliability and protection. Designed with a spin-on disposable filter cartridge, replacement is quick and hassle-free — the sensor remains securely mounted in the filter head while only the cartridge is changed.

This updated design replaces the older cartridge-style filter (part #E990004, used on 2018–2022 Malibu Monsoon engines) and is standard on 2023 and later Malibu Monsoon engines.
