5W-30 Full Synthetic Oil for Malibu & Axis M-Series Engines

This Mobil 1 5W-30 Full Synthetic dexos engine oil is intended for applicable Malibu Monsoon M5 and M6 engines with a manufacturer-specified 5W-30 oil requirement.

Malibu M5 and applicable M6 engines require approximately 8 quarts of engine oil for an oil and filter service.

The standard engine oil and filter service interval is annually or every 50 hours of operation, with more frequent 25-hour service intervals for applicable extreme-use conditions.

Always verify the current oil specification, capacity, and service interval for your specific engine before servicing.

IMPORTANT – Select M6Di Engines Require 0W-40

Select Malibu Monsoon M6Di engines are subject to an updated 0W-40 Full Synthetic engine oil specification.

For affected M6Di engines, 5W-30 should no longer be used. These engines should instead be serviced with the specified 0W-40 Full Synthetic engine oil and the correct oil filter.

Based on applicable engine production information, M6 engines manufactured between March 1, 2021 and May 31, 2024 may be affected by the updated 0W-40 oil requirement.

If you received a service bulletin or oil specification update from Malibu, follow the updated service requirements for your engine.

Malibu Monsoon LT4 Engines

Do not use 5W-30 in a Malibu Monsoon LT4 engine.

The supercharged Malibu Monsoon LT4 requires 0W-40 Full Synthetic dexos engine oil and the appropriate oil filter. Use the correct Malibu LT4 0W-40 Oil Change Service Kit when servicing an LT4 application.
