Installation Recommendation

For best performance, it is strongly recommended to replace both actuators simultaneously. If one actuator has failed, the second actuator is often worn or nearing failure as well. Installing a new actuator alongside an older, worn unit can lead to uneven load and may damage the new component.

Compatibility Notes

Some 2006–2011 Malibu boats originally used a 3-lobe actuator design. This updated 5-lobe actuator is the only replacement currently available.

• Many customers have successfully installed the 5-lobe actuator on older systems with no operational issues.
• In some cases, the wedge position gauge may display inaccurately, although the Power Wedge will still function normally.
• In rare situations, upgrading the wedge control box may be required for full compatibility. However, control boxes are no longer available from the manufacturer.
